3 Bedrooms • 2 Bathrooms 2 Baths • Sleeps 1-10When you enter The Pelican Perch, our name for Summer House 802B, the first thing you will notice is the upgraded, professionally decorated, and recently renovated finishes. When you take a few steps further, you will encounter a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico right in front of the balcony. When you keep walking out onto the balcony, you realize how large it is and that you are not looking at any other buildings and no one is looking back at you! There is amazing wildlife right off "The Pelican Perch" where you will see the birds diving on schools of fish and regularly see dolphins looking for breakfast.
This is a second home personal property and is outfitted for the owner's family comfort which they are generously offering to share with your family too! Each room has new Smart TV's connected to the dedicated high speed internet. You can comfortably enjoy this open floor plan with 8 of your family and friends without climbing over top of each other. The furnishings are perfect for 4 adults and 4 kids. It would sleep more children, but we would require you to reach out for approval before we would be able to accept a booking for more children.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'd need for creating delicious meals and snacks and features all new cookware, a crock pot, thoughtful items like wine stoppers and more! The appliances are current including a brand new dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer!
The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed for your retreat after a day of sun and sand and has a private master bathroom with tub/shower combo.
The other two bedrooms and bath is located on a separate wing off the kitchen. One bedroom has a plush queen bed and the other is equipped with two twin over full bunk beds. The guest bathroom also features a tub/shower combo.
The Summer House complex has a variety of amenities to enjoy during your stay including indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, and sauna room. When you're ready to head to the beach, head down the private boardwalk and on your way back in stop by the outdoor shower area to rinse the sand off. There's also a charcoal BBQ area, tennis courts, basketball goal and outdoor racquetball court. Summer House does require $50 per vehicle for a renter parking pass which is not included in the rate. You will register your vehicle (up to 2 vehicles) at the guard shack and pay for the $50 Vehicle Registration Certificate at the guard shack or across the street during the business hours at the Summer House office.
We limit our maximum guests due to practical reasons with providing towels in the cleaning time window. If your seeing the bunk room that does sleep six kids and you cannot book because of our maximum of 8 guests, please reach out to see if we can make an exception for your group and work something out.

Summer House Restoration Project 2023-2025 Update.
Building B will be 100% complete by December 2024!
Summer House HOA voted for a massive building restoration project that began September 2023. The work on Building B was to have been completed by Memorial Day. The contractor missed their deadline and are taking a pause on Building B (our building) for the summer due their commitment to the owners that Summer House would be open for the summer. They will complete Building B during an availability pause in late September into October. That consists of the North side (parking lot) portion.
In the meantime, the parking lot facing side of our building B will not have completed paint and also will have bare concrete for the walkways (vs pavers or epoxy) and there are very safe, but not pretty railings since the permanent versions must be done after the sealants this fall. The building paint is complete!
Our unit completed on time except for the elevator entrance zone and front walkway. We have new sliding glass doors, windows, entry door, and a beautiful refinished patio with epoxy floor and new paint scheme.
In Sept & Oct various floors will be closed to finish the floor sealants and railings. Our unit is blocked from scheduling for those time frames.
The grass area in front of Building B got tore up but was recently replaced with fresh sod! Building B is back!
Beach access is constantly available for Summer House including buggy suitable paths. All amenities are open except the unheated outdoor pool which goes down for maintenance on 8/19/2024 and will be unavailable until roughly April 2025. That unheated Outdoor pool will need to be closed when lifts are above starting in late August. It is better for us to say it is closed and have it available once in a while than hope it is open when you wanted it during that time.
The heated indoor pool will remain available continuously during its normal hours each day.
The neighboring Building A’s renovation is in full swing around Labor Day and that building will be down until Memorial Day 2025.
